Position Summary

As an Automotive Lube Technician, you will perform essential lube, oil changes, filter replacements, and multi-point inspections. You will ensure every vehicle leaving our facility meets high standards for safety and quality. Your commitment to ethical conduct and excellent customer service will support the dealership's reputation and operational success.

Primary Duties

  • Perform lube, oil, filter changes, and multi-point vehicle inspections accurately.
  • Assess vehicles for additional service needs and communicate findings clearly.
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas and ensure vehicles are clean during and after service.
  • Adhere to OSHA and EPA safety standards and follow all dealership procedures.
  • Demonstrate integrity by maintaining ethical standards and professionalism at all times.
  • Support team members by sharing knowledge and promoting a positive work environment.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by management.

Work Environment

The work is performed in an automotive shop setting with exposure to noise, dust, odors, fumes, chemicals, and varying weather conditions. Physical activity includes lifting, standing, bending, and operating equipment safely.

Job Requirements:

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is recommended but not required.
  • At least one year of experience as a technician's assistant or apprentice preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets company policy requirements.
  • Local state inspection license is preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, odors, fumes, chemicals, and adhesives.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds as needed.
  • Capable of sitting, standing, bending, reaching, talking, hearing, and using hands and fingers frequently.
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching required.
  • Good vision including close, distance, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must operate equipment and move vehicles safely.
