Position Summary

The Express Lane Manager will plan, organize, lead, and control the Quick Lube service department workflow. This role ensures quality repairs are completed promptly and cost-effectively, maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties

  • Schedule shop work to maximize productivity according to dealership policies and technician skill levels.
  • Prioritize and manage all service comebacks to ensure timely resolution.
  • Ensure accurate repair order documentation, including customer complaints, cause, correction, and operation punch times.
  • Review job status regularly; communicate changes in time or costs to service advisors and customers.
  • Verify that technicians complete assigned work properly and maintain quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with warranty material procedures and communicate job status between shifts.
  • Notify management of repetitive parts shortages for corrective action.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings through effective service management.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local regulations such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA guidelines.
  • Support safety, housekeeping, and OSHA Right-to-Know policies in the service department.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and professional appearance.
Job Requirements:

Supervisory Responsibilities

Carry out supervisory duties following company policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training employees, assigning work, evaluating performance, addressing conflicts, and enforcing discipline.

Qualifications

  • Two to four years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents, technical procedures, and regulations.
  • Strong written communication skills to prepare reports, correspondence, and manuals.
  • Effective verbal communication to present information and respond to questions from management, clients, and customers.
  • Basic math skills, including the ability to calculate discounts, commissions, proportions, and apply algebra and geometry concepts.
